2.Project description Simply tell us what it is you are looking for so we can find out together if we are a good match with our services. 3.Site visit (in-person or virtually) After we have decided that we are the right people for the job there are different options to proceed, depending on the size of project (i.e. drawer pulls vs. stair railing)/ distance and timeline:
You are sending us photos of the projects location.
We are coming for a site visit in person.
We are doing a virtual site-visit (Zoom/ What's App/ Messenger).
4. Design stage/ budget, estimate There are several ways to approach this stage:
You or your client have a design in mind (photos or drawings in digital or paper format, architectural specs, magazines) that we can use as a starting point.
We are able to design the project for you in a collaborative effort.
In regards to pricing: we can design according to your budget, or supply you with designs that match different estimate ranges.
5. Payment schedule Depending on overall cost, the payment schedule is following:
up to $4,000: 50% deposit, 50% upon completion
over $4,000: 30% deposit, 30% work-in-progress, 40% upon completion
over $15,000: 25% deposit, 25% work-in-progress, 25% work-in-progress, 25% upon completion
over $40,000: on an individual basis
Design and installation (if applicable) are priced separately. HST applies to all pricing. 6. Fabrication/ forging stage Once the design has been signed off by all parties, we are ordering the material and start the fabrication and forging process according to the scheduled date. 6. Work-in-progress It is important to us to keep you informed throughout the different stages of the work via:
studio visits
photos
videos
online meetings
This gives you total transparency about the progress of the project and you are able to follow along the creation process. This approach gives you as well the opportunity to do slight design tweaks at this stage, if necessary. 7.Completion of fabrication/ forging/ assembly process 8.Surface treatment Depending on several variables, we can offer the appropriate and correct finish:
wire brushing
abrasive blasting
Epoxy primers
Polyurethane top coats
Powder coat
Oil paint
Linseed based paint
Hot dip galvanizing
natural patinas
9.Delivery/ installation Depending on the kind of project/ size and location, we are offering several delivery and installation options.
