"We contracted Stefan to design shelving units for our small bedrooms in a new timber cabin. Stefan used the theme of ‘connection’ to design 8 unique shelving units and forged balustrade. He then designed a whimsical stair rail piece of ironwork that inspires our guests to be creative. We found the best way to work with Stefan is to give him a few general ideas on the space, dimensions and then let him use his creativity and metalwork genius to provide you with a functional piece of art. We are constantly looking for opportunities to engage Stefan in new projects which showcase his workmanship."

"Last summer we had the pleasure of working with metal artist Stefan Duerst. We wanted a sculptural trellis for a blank wall on a new addition. Stefan invited us to his workshop, showed us a variety of designs, and listened carefully to our wish list and budget. He sketched a preliminary design and showed us a range of materials so that we could easily imagine the finished result. He was clear on the quote and the timeline, and the work was delivered and installed on budget and on time. We are very happy with result—it casts intricate shadows, looks spectacular edged in snow, and will, we hope, be even better when the clematis and roses start climbing through. All in all a positive and pleasurable experience."

"Last year, one of my dreams came through.
The main floor of our house on the lake was separated into two areas by an imposing 4 feet tall wall, surrounding the opening of the stairs that are connecting the basement with the upper level. I always found the structure an eye sore. The idea of replacing the retaining wall with a safe custom made see-through railing became reality and easy to obtain after meeting with Stefan.
He projected for us a stairs railing that is not only looking very nice, but it is also enhancing beautifully the open concept of the main floor. The railing is a piece of art and is unique, thanks to Stefan's vision of the final product.
The price covering material and time to produce such a "face lifting" accessory for our house, was fair and reasonable.
Thank you Stefan for your meticulous care in projecting a railing that has included all the safety standard requirements for such a structure putting prevention in front of anything else.
